This set is a combination of a few old industrial buildings we explored. Photos and text by the Stooges, Moss Man and Captain Jack.

The abundance of natural falls along this New England State's rivers fueled a once booming industrial base.

During the 1800’s countless brick mills where built to take advantage of that natural power

In this complex many of the buildings have been either razed or converted to other uses. The ones that remain are have been stabilized by the developer/owners for future conversions. As a result they are pretty well sealed and can be tough to get into. Moss and I had been previously escorted off this site and on this trip entered by way of the river frontage which was a tangle of rocks, deep holes, debris and poison ivy.

11. On a whole though, the larger more promising looking buildings were generally just big open spaces that had been cleaned stripped and stabilized for future conversion.

Despite the lack of any machinery or equipment dating back to its use in manufacturing the view from the upper floors was worth the 5 story climb
