Construction on Fort Hubberstone started in 1858 and was completed in 1863. It housed 27 guns and was used up until the end of WW1 when it was abandoned. It was then used by the US during WW2 but has since fallen into ruin and decay. Heavily vandalised, it has a superb view of the river and town of Milford Haven.
Getting in this place was just a long slog through stingers, wasp infested bushes and slippery mud :thumb

Vandalised and spayed, getting upstairs was not going to happen as the council have demolished the staircases

This was the lower part, the gun mounts are here and a maze of tunnels. God knows why they needed so many random tunnels about the place.

Behind here was a plummet to death, no access unless you have wings.
