this grade 2 listed building was built in the 1840's one of the only existing structures built in portland cement a material created by local inventor joseph aspdin at its peak it had 7 bedrooms & its own brewery in its later years it was well known for its live jazz music it was sold in 2003 and left to die its now been gutted by fire and used as a drug den

Are the barrels still in the cellar? we saw a few when we had a poke around. someones definately smacking up in there.

I didn't fancy going down the cellar, the stairs didn't even look sturdy enough to deal with 17st of yorkshireman so sacked it off.

It was manky.
