Stonebridge Mills Leeds.

There isn't a lot of info on the web regarding this place but it's grade II listed and the building clearly shows the signs of expansion and adaptation through the years.

The mill is a collection of buildings around an engine shed and pump house

The pump house has a fantastic bulbous wrought iron water holder.

As I said parts of the building are being stripped of large items, I went one week and there was a complete loom in the weaving shed and the next week half of it had gone! Also the stone slate roof has disappeared. As this is a listed building I'd be surprised if this was with consent.

It might be an idea to take a P3 mask with you as asbestos lagging is coming away from the pipes. The missing roof has dampend the fibres but you can't be too careful.

Anyway onto the pictures.

Converse, I hope you don't mind me tacking these onto your report mate, I put so much effort in today for sooooo little result, which ever way I came at this place, access to the main mill was either busy (men in van on main yard drive) to breeze blocked up. I have the cuts and bruises to prove it LOL

I will attempt the main mill again though.
