Had my eye on these for a while.

River Limy at Rawtenstall..
A smaller culvert, a small gap, then onto a bigger one .
Not very big , about 175Metres in Length with the smaller one around 20Metres.

The smaller one (red bricked ) has the old fire station above it, whereas the larger one (stone) has houses and roads above, then finally near the inlet.. a garage/Spar.

not much feature wise apart from a manhole cover, a pipe, a mongy nest with 3 eggs and a rotting chick, a small waterfall and the usual culvert arachnids.

Glad to finally get this done :thumb

Thanks Skin :)

think it was pigeon with the look of the feathers around the nest.
should've taken the big torch for this, although they didn't come out too bad.
found a good fishing float wrapped around a bit of branch, now in my tackle box :thumb

Thanks all :)

there's a few more similar in the area that i'm going to do soon :thumb

the water wasn't flowing that fast most of the way, it was at the little waterfall bit though...
(it was sweeping foot away before i got it on the deck properly).
6th pic up from the bottom went from around 12-18 inch, then the water was up to my backside :(

Good to get out and do something again, had a lot on recently (decorating.. boo) :D

I have the bleach waiting when I open that thread already

:coffee:jester :D

Your float was massive Simon..
nothing in that river would pull it under :thumbd
you'd be better off using it in the sea.
i've confiscated it for improper use :thumb

Thanks Cactus :)

i used the Manfrotto 785B :D
i used the lower angle setting so the legs spreaded further.
the bottom was silty in areas, so it could be pushed into it a good bit.
all the pics are taken in lower water levels..
there was a couple of step down bits where the water went deep, so set camera up in the shallow areas just before the step down :)
