If you have ever been to Darwen you cannot have missed the incredible India Mills chimney. Grade II listed and probably the finest chimney I have ever seen, it dominates the local town. She was built in 1867 as a result of a competition between local businesmen to see who could build the best mill.

Fred Dibnah once climed it and you can see the master at work HERE (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3R3-YwDZrzg) More information on the chimney HERE (http://www.bbc.co.uk/lancashire/content/articles/2008/03/18/history_india_mill_feature.shtml)

It's now been restored and a pair of Peregine Falcons live on it. I did see them today but couldn't get a photo of the little blighters LOL

Not UE but an object I admire and love :thumb
