Ok not a true "paid" for or comprehensive visit - an oportune entrance after closing hours to the grounds - and sorry I couldnt be arsed walking to the control tower either - but I did get these.

can someone tell me what I was looking at? My knowledge on planes the missiles is zero.

Nice pics, are yes the Vulcan a amazing plane.

Do you know the number on the tail of that Vulcan you took pictures of?

More importantly, did you try the hatch on the Vulcan? I've had a poke about more than once when I've been in the area (looking at the hospital …) as a Vulcan cockpit would count as a fantastic, if cramped, exploration. :)

The green missile is an English Electric Thunderbird.Which does look a bit like a bloodhound.
