I visited with A Man Called Martyn from 28 Days Later. Whilst we couldn't get access to much above ground, we did get into the huge cellars underneath. We managed to shelter from the rain below ground but getting out was rather slippery and I wound up looking pretty covered in mud. Was quite entertaining to watch people avoid me in town when I went into Maccy D's to use the loo whilst covered in filth. :p

Above ground was what could only be described as the smackhead suite. For junkie standards, the dwellings were rather luxurious boasting a few chairs, mouldy cushions and equally manky sleeping bags, a selection of clothing, ready made food, ample toilet paper and they even had a piece of thick string to ensure that your stay there doesn't end in you falling out of a door leading to nowhere whilst you're off your head. :p

Lie low whilst you're high in The Smackhead Suite.

Looks quite big down there, and a fair bit to see. I like the scaffolding picture.

strange looking breezeblock building!!
i like the last pic
Those things zig zagging around in the last pic were a bit annoying to get over, as I've got little legs and had to keep crawling and kneeling over the knobbly bits. They appeared to be some sort of draining. It's quite large down there and a good place to nose around. :)

Like the bricked up arches in pic 4 and 5 - any history on this building?

All I know is that it was a vinegar works. A Man Called Martyn put up some history over on 28 Days Later. The place had a name but I cannot remember it off the top of my head and I won't be here Tuesday-Saturday so I've not much time to find out. Sorry I cannot be of any more use.
