This giant mill complex has been closed since 2007. It was home to the WW Textiles Group which have since moved out to more modern buildings elsewhere.

I investigated the older part of the mill (http://www.flashearth.com/?lat=53.797545&lon=-1.669946&z=17.7&r=0&src=msl)last year, this is now half demolished and totally trashed. Shame because it was an excellent example of a Yorkshire mill.

The larger modern warehouse (http://www.flashearth.com/?lat=53.79667&lon=-1.670804&z=17.7&r=0&src=msl) I got into back in 2006 and this has been sealed up tight ever since.

There remained one huge chunk of the mill not done. Having seen a way in I returned the next day to find it had already been sealed. There is a 24hr security onsite so they are obviously awake. Another opening presented itself this morning so I dropped in for a quick look around. This place has more creaks, bangs and clangs than anywhere I have ever been.

I know this is all very boring but it is a very local site to me and it's been fun seeing the different bits as they become explorable.

This is the latest bit I have explored (http://www.flashearth.com/?lat=53.797286&lon=-1.671637&z=17.7&r=0&src=msl) leaving only the office block to do.

No access to the office then?

I have plans but you would have to walk past security to get in there, look at the first pic and you can see where he lives :thumb

There is someone there 24hrs, I think he is a security / demo chap.

The place seems to be being legally stripped of valuable metals before demolition.

ahh the green metal hut. I'm sure there is another way in through the factory.
