Elster Jeavons & Company Ltd was founded in 1919. It became a private company in 1920, until 1956 when it became public. In the spring of 2006, the Tipton branch was closed and production was transfered to Slovakia.

They manufactured copper tubes, gas regulators and meters.

Saw this place done on another board and decided to check it out with Yamaha Paul. I was extremely suprised at how intact it was, and also that some sections are still powered up..

This was almost like being back at Beans Foundry, which is now squashed - so go check this place out before it ends up the same way!

Thanks man!

I'm trying my hardest to see as much of it as I can before it all goes and Tipton is just riddled with places like this.

Cheers for the kinds words guys

nice one
the office looks strange with the chairs missing

But yeah, I guess it does.

There were a few chairs towards the back of the room all tagged with lot numbers, so I guess the rest were auctioned off.

Nice report and pics. Is that the office pot plant still alive after all this time?
