Formerly the West Sussex County Asylum opened in 1897, was built NE of Chichester on Graylingwell farm, once the home of Anna Sewell author of Black Beauty, hence latterly known as Graylingwell Hospital and closed in 2003. Many parts of the site are still live and in use by the NHS.
