House of York sweets once had a chain of factories throughout the north east, but seemed to find it so much harder to compete in the modern market and pulled out of this site in 2004, making 77 people unemployed. It was stripped, and has stood empty since.
After a few incidents of chavs nicking the wiring the place was sealed up a little but a recent fire had made it accessable.
We had our eyes on it for a little while, my ex and i and one day driving past we saw our opportunity.
It seemed soooo easy, but it felt soooo wrong to even be in there, it was great!

Considering the place has only been empty for three years, it was a right state when we got in, not too charvered though, just empty and vast and quiet.

So, with the smell of the recent fire still fresh in the air we started to have a mooch, and this is what we found.....
