One from way back but thought it might make an interesting comparison with some of the older pools posted recently.
Cardiff International pool is part of the Cardiff sports village development and is a replacement for the Empire pool which was demolished in 1998 to make way for the millenium stadium. £36 million pool opened in January of 2008 it includes two pools, an Olympic size 50 m 10-lane competition swimming pool with seating for 1,000 spectators and a 25 m 4-lane indoor waterpark with flume rides, a beach area with water slides, a lazy river and jacuzzi. The centre also has a fitness suite and studios, conference rooms and a café. Visited towards the end of construction after finding the extensive security measures were heldup by a length of blue builders rope.
Photos arn't that good security were patroling and we had to keep one room ahead of them also i didnt realise it at the time but my camera was slowly dieing after a fall the month before poor thing expired before the trip was done.
