It's easy to know when you are close to a palm oil factory, just use your nose and the sweet
stench of its production will point out its location.
So we followed our noses to a working oil palm factory and to this disused oil palm mill, left in
a quite corner of the plant. It looks to have been decommissioned in mid stream, with much unused
raw material still left piled high on the mill floor. There was also some huge skips, full of
unused oil palm kernels, and with nothing else to do, the skips contents had started to sprout
mushrooms.
