Been looking at getting in this place for ages now. The Leicester Borough Lunatic Asylum was opened in 1869. The name "Towers Hospital" was acquired in 1947. Some parts of the site are still used by the NHS.

The main asylum block, to the left you can just see the tower at the main entrance. It is very impressive from the front, but no pics as the trees block out the view!

Nurses accommodation

This month finally managed access to some parts along with Mr Sam and two other local explorers. It was only some rather plain 60's building, but its a step closer to the rest of the place!
