Took a dither up to check out the ROC post at Buckie the other evening as its one of the last in the Aberdeen Group area I had not as yet visited - capped with concrete btw - so as I was parked up next to the old Grampian Country food groups pork processing plant decided to have a roam about as well.
Pretty well smashed up and stripped out but though would share it anyway.

Some history
Established in 1980 by a Scottish farming family, Grampian Country Foods expanded quickly through pan-UK acquisition, making it the UK's biggest pig meat processor. Its food production unit produced own-brand products mainly for the UK's largest supermarket chains. Faced with financial difficulties from the late 1990s, it was sold to Vion in January 2008.

The Buckpool plant was its main pork processing plant with live pigs coming in at one end and bacon coming out the other It was closed in 2005 with loss of over 300 jobs when the processing was re-located to Broxburn

Nice one: interesting to see some photos from here, as last time I was up that way a year or two back, it was sealed. Pity the local minkers have smashed it up, though.

Not seen this place before. That machine looks a bit brutal!
