decided to have a trip over to sheffield and see what could find, and came accross this place with BB. after taking on snake pass in the fog and dark was hoping the trip over would be worth it and with 3 sites done it was worth it.

history:- Woollen & Co Ltd t/a Woollen Signs was formed in 1883 in Sheffield by Edwin Woollen, a sign writer and Frederick Ibbotson a lithographic printer. Woollens had a large customer base and dealt with hand painted signage, then plastic moulded and neon signs. Woollens closed in Jan 2008 after 125 years following a take over by The Sheffield Co-op Society. A new company was formed (Woollen Signs Ltd) with new premises.

Like the place but I get the impression that not everywhere is accessible. There should be neon signs in the lower floors. Certainly worth a gander...

Good work!

Looks good, well worth a mooch - We've looked a lot but not had chance to get back since it's opened up and never much fancied the previous access. The neon signs but looks well worth hunting out!

Good work!

Theres 3 buildings in total, seperated by a small live workshop inbetween them, the older part has the more interesting stuff but it's much harder to crack

I looked and think I found access to the other side of the workshop and I looked at it and thought no that looks like a small, dark, wet and crappy way for even me to do! Wish I tried now lol

some good stuff in there, it looks like it was very much hands on and they screen printed the signs.
