JN Miller's Steam Mill was originaly constructed in 1851 by William Fairbairn and Sons of Manchester arround a cast iorn frameworkl it was built to replace an earlier mill dating back to 1800 which had burned to the ground. The new mill which employed a coal fired steam engine to drive 18 milling stones for grinding corn into Flour and Animal Feed. Once a branch of the Birmingham Main line Canal lead right inside the building and a railway siding linked to the nearby Great Western Railways goods yard.

Across the road from the mill is a single storied Sack Mill which was once linked to millars by an overhead conveyor to transport the mill's products to the Sack Mill for putting into sacks for distribution. The mil was modernised through the late 60's and 70's the steam engine was replaced by gas boilers and modern griding machinery replaced the heavy mill stones. JN Miller's was closed in 1981 and has remained deralict since then. The mill was sold to local developer for £1 for conversion into flats but nothing came of the scheme. It has been sold on again for another planned flats development who have permission to demolish the 20th centuary additions leaving the grade 2 listed mill for conversion but nothing has come of these plans.

At the momment it can only be described as urrrgggh a cardboard thin floor, dodgy stairs and laders, loads of needles and jizz filled jonnys and evidence of atleast three druggies in residence didnt make for pleasant exploring i doubt it can be left as it is for long, and with the Royal Hospital half demolished and the brewery little more than a shell wolverhampton may soon be with out three popular exploration destinations.
