SOLICITOR, Preston

Today I decided on a welcome break from drains in favour of some MILLS & INDUSTRY with my mate..

Pfft, that soon went out of the window and we ended up here..

(Thanks to Scrappy for the info) :thumb

Not sure who/when this was first discovered, but it's a little belter at just over half a mile long, and definately worthy of more attention

PS, it was never a Solicitors, but an Accountants, these days it's some kind of Mosque for our asian friends

Imagine their surprise when we wondered through their yard covered in crap

Some lovely transitions from >Brick >Stone >Ironwork >RCP

The upstream section is teaming with fish and other wildlife, downstream is a silted RCP full of floaters and stale arse soup!

Sorry it's another drain, but I quite enjoyed it and really should have made more effort before now to go and see this

Brick Arches, Stone Horshoe, Ironwork, RCP & Stale Turds over Derps anyday... :p:

Infall

(Note the grille to the right, some serious gases emitting through a 2ft RCP)

7ft Stone Horshoe & Manhole shaft under the main road

The downstream section was full of stale turds

(Here a CSO dumps it's load through a giant pissflap further down this stretch of RCP)

Beyond which, one of the top 10 features I have seen in a drain to-date

(Gotta love the Brick Pr0n)

Brick Arch

Here the watercourse exits through a 7ft RCP ahead of the Brick chamber..

We did travel down to the outfall, however it was silted up to fuck and kicking up some serious eggy smelling gases underfoot so no further pics before we opted to GTFO :D
