Visited with Cunningcorgi.

History

The mine was developed on two veins possibly associated with the Hafan fault. Recorded working at the mine is very late in relationship to other mines in mid-Wales. And was being worked on a number of occasions from 1882 to 1916, producing 1240 tons of lead ore and 99 tons of zinc ore.
The primary interest with this mine is the two cages reached via 2 SRT pitches.

All in all a nice mine, so as I have mastered SRT ill be back to get down to the cages.

Many of these photo's remind me why I like to stay outside. Dislike big drops (4) and the potential for a shit-tonne of mountain to come landing on me (as improbable as that is). Anyway, some good photography and seems like you enjoyed it in there!

nice mine, have you a gps location for the mine, i'll be in north wales for a holiday and it looks good for a smootch......did you go down the big ladder pitch ?... :)

Its a brilliant place by the looks of it, i wouldnt want to attempt that ladder without some decent safety gear!:ohmy
