Had to visit here before it's too late, not really too much to see but didn't want to regret not ever going!

From the front on a main street in the town centre you can see the lovely old Victorian building. This is the original part of the hospital and is to be restored. Heading round to the back is the huge, looming monster which is to be demolished by June.

I would not recommend going alone due to the amount of drug paraphernalia everywhere.
We stayed for about an hour and managed to get into the red brick building to the right. The main hospital was a no go with anti vandal paint over all the obvious access points.

once the lovely blue sky turned grey and wind started to blow hard through the tall weeds causing an eeery atmosphere. we decided we had pushed our luck and headed home. we were very grateful not to have bumped into the towns down and outers.
