We had waited a long time to record the remaining internal fixtures of this building and we were not to be disappointed in what we found.
Home to the 20th, Base Security Police Group (Flying Field) All the SP's got there M16's and small arms from here and base security communications came through here as well.
On with the pics:

A very non descript building! Its suffered externally from the ravages of time and lack of maintenance like most buildings on UH!

SP's marker left on an outside window!

Internal lobby with a daily motto! "Dont just be Good Enough, Set The Example!" The door to the left goes into the Armory - (US Spelling)!

Base Security Comms Centre! Loads of old telephones and Comms panels left behind:thumb

As usual UH's wallart is exceptional and we were not to be dissapointed. An adaptation of the famous "Warsaw Pact Central Heating Patch!

Inside the Armory! The whole area was painted in Camo, the SP's appeared to love the stuff!
The hatch was for issuing M16's and SP, small arms etc.

The Flying Field has been listed by English Heritage as a "Cold War Monument". Preservation of buildings is in hand, but the flying field is spaced over 1,200 Acres, with 56 Hardened Aircraft Shelters, numerous bunkers etc. and over 200 smaller buildings. it is going to take a while!

Communal site is down for demolition to make way for a New Town, where 1,200 houses are to be built!
