View Full Version : Happidrome WW2 CGI station - Sunk Island (ARCHIVED)

This is the remains of the Happidrome at Sunk Island which was a two level operations room for the Type 7 radar.

This one is quite famous as it was connected to RAF Holpmton. There is loads of info over on Subbrit and they can explain it far better than I can.

I know it just looks like an old shed or barn (thanks Squirrel68) but if you have an interest in the area around Holmpton it is actually quite an important building.

The main building is well locked up which was a shame as I wanted to see it even if it is stripped out. Shortly after arriving we were spotted by the local farmer / pikey who made his feelings known ;) we left.
