1991 closure. Visited with Triplesix.
Status: Open.
This is in fact nowhere near Kirkby Moorside, its in some bizarre place in the middle of the moors. It is situated on a hilltop next to the owners private airstrip!!!!
Next to the post is a dilapadated WWII Aircraft Post, in bad condition. However, many things can be picked out from the rubble. Internally the post is pretty stripped.

When in use, the Crew Room had been fitted with a heater (you can see the outlet still intact on the roof), a radiator (not sure how this worked but all the pipework was still intact, and lots of other buildings joined onto it. I wish it was still intact as it would be awesome.

King Elvis' report from 2008 can be found HERE. The post is no longer flooded but you can see quite a few things have gone, including the cupboard. The owner or one of his farmers must have done this.
