1968 Closure. Visited with Triplesix.

Status: Open.

Quite a nice post for a 68'er. A few of the surfeace features have taken a battering. Some vents are missing and the hatch is partially detatched. Chunks of ROC Jerry Cans are strewn around the general area. A good example of a stone built aircraft post stands nearby. Inside, the post is generally good, apart from the table has been partially burned, and subsequently detatched. The Sump and pipe have been nicked. There is an unusual addition to the aircraft post. Either an enhanced GZI Mount or something for the Post Plotting Instrument.

I like how the Elsan is still in its wrapping after all this time.

Huh someone seems to have tried to start a fire but at least it didn't burn the whole post so that's something and the bunks looks in good condition. Nice work guys and that GZI mount type thing on the aircraft post is interesting, though the post has one already so must have been for something else. The ww2 telescope type thing perhaps?

Yeah i was thinking it might be something to do with the mounting for the instrument - not 100% sure though

Shame kids have started to trash it, it's normally well guarded by cows.

Thanks for the update.
