The first of two visits to this location just 6 months apart - was amazed to see how much it had deteriorated in that short space of time, with most of the remaining items now stolen.

1) Built in 1879

2) The living room was definitely the highlight.

3) With this beautiful ceiling...

4) and artefacts dating back to when the manor was built, like this cheque from the 1880's.

5) The weak upper floors promised more to see...

6) But being held up by plywood, I didn't fancy it myself.

7) And this is what had happened to the floors elsewhere

I like your angle on the place, great photos. I live a couple of miles down the road from here and it is really sad how quick it is deteriating, my report from a couple of years ago shows exactly what has been stolen. Last year there Was a fair bit of work going on around the house, folly and tower but now nothing!

Yeah, the second time I went, the table had gone, most of the older artefacts, and the pump had been pulled off the wall in the kitchen (lead obviously), really disappointing. But I feel pretty safe saying its too far gone for anyone to bother saving it now - even the brickwork is starting to crack up.
