Opened: October 1959

Closed: September 1991

Visted with Tankman in what was to be the final post of the day. Sadly we could not get even close as upon driving up 2 women had decided to sit themselves on the grass track leading up to the post so a return visit is in order I think. From previous reports its locked anyway. The post was yellow internally and sold to a new owner in 2003, what's odd is that the post's FSM was welded onto another one as you cans see in Elvis's report back in 2009 (see below for link). When subbrit visited it had about half an inch of water on so it could well be flooded badly by now.

The shot from the car as we turned back, you can just make out the vent on the right and some compound fencing on the left. Looks pretty overgrown now.

Perhaps they got their measurements wrong? Even the access hatch looks low compared to the vent.

Did you not have a gun to shoot at them with? That's how I usually clear an area I wanna look at, works a treat

To many people milling around this!! It was the end of a long day on the "Fens" and we were just driving by when the Satnav buzzed up the post!!!
