This castle is located in Pokuplje, near Karlovac, Croatia. It's had it's fair share of owners...
It's first owners were the Krčki, who got it from Bela III. Then the Frankopan's owned it since 1461., and in it Fran Krsto Frankopan was born.

After the Zrinsko-Frankopanska conspiracy, Bosiljevo comes into the hands of the Erdody familly, and later on due to marrige, to Auerspergi familly.
It's tower is built like a compass, it has all the cardinal points. The main part of the castle is a bigger defencive tower.
I should point out that the present caste "look" has almost nothing in common with the old edifice. Towers and a couple of new buildings were added, and a big part of the castle is plastered so it doesn't quite look very medieval. Restaurations haven't quite worked out, instead they only ruined it.
After 1950's it was a hotel, later a nursing home. In 1970's it is abandoned, and it remained that way.
