Just posting some pictures to show the condition of the remainder of the site. Much of what's left is rubble; I've omitted most of this as ultimately a pile is a pile is a pile etc........ I've identified structures from the map of the site I've got although its impossible to be 100% certain. I have no map for the WW2 buildings. If anyone recognises anything please let me know. In the comments from the first thread I said i'd post some pictures of Stone Creek AA Battery, which although very well preserved is a bit overgrown. At the moment the field is fenced off with cattle grazing and no one was in to ask permission from. I'll post something when I get access. Thanks.

The WW1 site had its own jetty. When the site was under construction everything had to be carried over broken ground as there were no paved roads to the foreshore. These are the only remains.

I'm not sure about either of these two. From their locations I think one may be the remains of a searchlight installation, probably the first one. They are similar in shape though one is obviously bigger than the other.

There are no shortage of these lines of foundation pillars, mainly to the rear of the site where the barrack accommodation was located. Approximately 200 men were stationed here during WW1.

These four are from the left hand side of the site on which was located the officers quarters, engine room, accumulator room and a small hospital. The structure that's full of water and rubble is deeper than it looks: I poked a 2' stick in at various places and never reached the bottom.

SaltGeorge commented on the sump in the possible WW2 generator room. There are eight of these horseshoe marks, four along each side where something stood on the sump, something heavy enough to leave these imprints in concrete. The bowled sump itself is perfectly smooth, no sign of wear or oil spillage at all, almost like it was moulded yesterday. Just outside the brick building (in part 1) was this brick lined pit with steps on the side. The pipe in the pit was at one time connected to a pipe poking out of the building itself. Maybe this was where the fuel was stored, maybe not!

And basically thats it. If anyone wants directions let me know, there's no trespass involved at all.
