Trampit

The main part of the hall was built in 1931 and a large extension was added in 1983. The extension is due to be demolished in the coming days so I grabbed the opportunity to take a look around.
The electrical power was still on so this made for a really easy explore.
It's quite a large building & I took around 250 shots so I'll divide the report into sections & just post a couple in each one.
(This was my first mooch & I've only owned the camera for two days so bear this in mind ok.)

The Clock Tower
After entering I decided to start at the top & work my way down.
I found the entrance to the clock tower in a large office. The pics a bit dark but you can just make out the spiral staircase on the left of the pic.

On the first level. (Notice the strange hole in the wall)

There seemed to be passages within the very thick walls but I didn't venture inside cos I had no torch. (& it was scary :o)

The Gardens
Sadly these are going to be turned into a car park.

The Vaults
Where I even found some hand written deeds dated 1841.
The doors were really heavy even though the hinges were well oiled, proper safes these. :thumb

The Nuclear Bunker
My favourite part of the explore, apparently there's a morgue down here somewhere but the place is a massive labyrinth & I didn't manage to find it. There were lots of solid steel doors and some were locked so it was possibly behind one of these. :(
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a106/motoxuk/265.jpg
The entrance doors were about a foot thick of re enforced concrete. (Probably to keep any surviving peasants out as well as protection from the blast)
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a106/motoxuk/294.jpg
& some drilling work was taking place on the floor. :ohmy
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a106/motoxuk/288.jpg
There was some great stuff down here, water treatment facility, diesel generator, home office communication equipment & emergency control centre etc.
Got lots more pics of various other parts of the building but as its my first report I'm not sure of the rules regarding the amount of pics I can post so I'll leave it here for now. Hope you enjoy the pics as much as I enjoyed taking them.
Peace out explorer dudes. :thumb
