View Full Version : Greystoke ROC Post ( Cumberland ) July 2011

This is located in a corner of a field next to a road in Greystoke. No Public access to it via a path so i have no idea why it is destroyed inside for, but the concrete is cracking around the hatch quite a lot. It hasn't got a T-bar Mechanism or a Counter Balance anymore so it was easy access :(

Subbrit Info - http://www.subbrit.org.uk/rsg/roc/db/988131692.html

It hasn't changed since Subbrit went really.
Only one external has i didn't want my flash to attract people because we went when it was dark as it is in sight of a house which is very close.
Aircraft Observation Building a couple a metres away from this post, with a tree growing out of it :)

Another one documented - shame its a mess!

02-08-2011, 07:55 PM
Yea, but it's always been a mess since it shut in the 1968, thoughs ones have more time to be vandilized than the ones that were shut in 1991 :(

Rare to see a set of batteries still intact:thumb especially on a 68 closure.

Looks like this post may have had a bit of a fire judging by the state of the walls :? Still well done for documenting another one!
