This class was made up of Myself, Mr Ex and a none forum member
The College was Established at the Low Fell Site on November 15th 1955, closed as part of a planned move in January
2008 it was then moved to a new £39million campus at the Baltic Quayside.
Apparently Chris Basham who now plays for Bolton Wanderers attended the college (yeah, i aint got a clue who he
is either)
The place is pretty stripped and trashed, with every last piece of copper ripped out of the walls and ceiling, and
despite its size it was pretty hard to find anything really interesting there at all. The tiles had almost all
fallen off in the refectory, leaving what i am 99% sure was a sh*t load of spray on asbestos! needless to say we
avoided intering that room.
Upon leaving the main building we then ventured to a smaller building behind it, realising it was as empty as old
Mother Hubbards cupboards we decided to move on a much larger part, However after hearing a voice just behind the
building we were in we decided to hang fire and see if they passed. Bravely we finally moved on, creeping round
the cornere straight into an officer of the law..... i'm sure at the point the 3 of us were all experiencing some
very vivid deja vous!
After backup arrived, lots of checks and a very in depth (yet gentle) search we were allowed on our way, with the
very stern warning that should we be seen on the site again we would be taken straight down the cells with the threat of
being charged with burglary or something.
All in all an ok explore, was nice getting into somewhere that seemingly hasn't been done before, but quite a let
down once we got it, but as is the norm i have many many photos.... i will try to narrow these down somewhat XD.
