took a trip to this building, an intresting one this one. was a big place & took while to get round.

these victorian mills were in recent years a premises for local woodworking company greenwood & wood.

they offered a bispoke office furniture making facility to businesses around the UK

like many that suffered, they went bust in 2009, leaving many in the local area redundent. the place is empty, although there are some heavy machines still inside the place & occupies 112, sq ft of land

the pictures.. enjoy

Nice work mate, like it.

You've doubled up your image tags so you might want to tidy it up a wee bit and maybe get it on one post. Also, don't stick the exact date in the title, month and year will do :thumb

Looks like Greenwood & Wood became part of the Eastlake Group, which branded itself Eastlake Commercial Interiors. They went into administration in 2009 (link (http://thescotsman.scotsman.com/business/Jobs-at-risk--at.5229017.jp)). They'd been very aquisitive, with many trading names so it's difficult to pick out exactly what was going on but it looks like the profitable bits became Work Inc and then Europa International (http://www.europainternational.com/) (link (http://www.pfmonthenet.net/featuresarchive/article.aspx?ArticleID=24987)).

That's a nice looking factory unit, looks like the administrators stripped it to pay off the creditors.
