Both of these shelters were dug into the chalk cliffs of Portsdown hill during ww2.
Coopers air raid shelter was a private shelter and the radio station was linked to UGHQ
under nearby Southwick Fort. mobile phone pics this time nearly got enough money for my DSLR :lol:
Coopers shelter entrance 40ft up now due to further quarry work after the war.
