Had a wee wander round this while on a recent holiday in Bulgaria.
Having seen all the notices warning of a "Closely Guarded Area" I had a wander round to see just how closely guarded it was - cue a huge Bulgaria security guard. I asked him politely in my best Bulgaria if I could take some pictures. He eventually responded by saying in perfect English - "what is your problem?" Anyway he got the drift and let me in and we had a hilarious time jumping in and out all the old planes while the guard watched on with a bemused face....
