Royal Observer Corps Post Upton 20/66. (Badsworth)

Live local to here and have passed it a million times - never seen it open. A few years ago it had padlocks on, now it's welded.

I thought it was quite fitting that it's surrounded by poppies - gave it a nice touch!

Ventured out with my little Canon G9 and mini tripod just to make a record of it - albeit a bit arty-farty. :gay

Shame its welded but that paint is flaking very badly, suppose that is what you get for almost 20 years without a new coat! And the vent looks a bit worse for wear as well, still thanks for posting fella.

You wont find any info on post owners on there :).

Easyest way would be to either ring around any local farms (that you can see from google maps) or too cross reference the OS G Co-ordinates in a Land Registry detailed map search. You will have to pay £4 but you will find out asap who the owner is...
