It was last September when I visited this place whilst on one of the Heritage open days with joybee and judderman. They have been stuck in an album doing jack shit ever since. That is until a recent period drama hit our screens entitled Brinkburn Street. It was a five-part drama following the lives, loves and lies of different generations of the Ogilvie family in 1931 and again in 2011. Bit more info here..... http://menmedia.co.uk/tamesideadvertiser/news/s/1413396_droylsden_square_is_star_of_new_bbc_period _drama.
I couldn't see the point of putting this on during the day though. Having said that, I watched every episode with great gusto :thumb

The settlement itself is rather unique with It's late Georgian Architecture and 18th century character. Some history here.... http://www.tamesidehistoryforum.org.uk/fairfield.htm

Lets start with the BBC's drama. Brinkburn Street.
