:tyOk people, go easy on me as this is my first explore, hopefully many more to come!!

After doing the grass and washing up i had a couple of hours to spare so went for a ride!

I done my research as to the location of the post and made my way up a dirt track.

The dirt track

http://i879.photobucket.com/albums/ab355/southy1981/IMG_1739.jpg

Yes thats me, the poser!!!

http://i879.photobucket.com/albums/ab355/southy1981/IMG_1740.jpg

I have not really got the hang of putting comments with my pictures but they speak for themselves.
The post was bone dry and the hatch was already open when i arrived.
The orlit was in good condition and i took some of the photos from the top.
Inside as you can see were the bunk bed and single bed, a chemical toilet, a cupboard, a can of lynx, a boot, and a dead rabbit, which i stood on!!
Also you can probably see my urban exploration vehicle, which was not built for riding up dirt tracks.
The water tower is owned by anglian water, and the post was in a seperate fenced off compound, which looks ideal for a restoration.
Your comments and thoughts appreciated, and if anyone is up for an explore soon, give me a shout, up for some more of this!!!.

Thanks for looking.

Nice one, not bad for a 68 closure, strangely theres just a non grilled manhole cover over the sump.

An idea maybe to put a space between the pics :thumb

Welcome to UEF :)

Well done on your first report! To put comments beneath or above your pictures - just press enter a few times and type in as normal. I'll upgrade your membership - you will then be able to comment on other's reports, chat in the chat box and post any new explores in the relevant sections :thumb

This looks like a tidy little site Southy,
as Krypton said, it may be an idea to put a space between the pictures as they are then easier to see and possibly number the pictures as its then easier to identify and make a point about an image.

Love the shots up towards the hatch, the concrete to clear blue sky is amazing!

Good first report! To answer your question the mount on this picture: http://i879.photobucket.com/albums/ab355/southy1981/IMG_1726.jpg

Is called a GZI or ground zero indicator, used for measuring the size of the nuclear bomb blast, it would be recorded onto photographic paper then sone poor bugger would have to come up and fetch and replace the results a minute after the bomb went off!

A GZI looks like this: (see link for picture!)

Hi Coops, its a Yamaha Majesty 250cc, 75mph top speed, comfy 2 up, enough storage for helmet etc. £9 to fill up and lasts me 150 miles!!!
I forgot to shut the hatch, s**t, may have to go for another ride up there soon.
Have made a sort of promise to myself, that as long as i do all my little jobs at the weekend, i am going to try and visit a different ROC post every sunday (weather permitting!!)
Anyone fancy meeting up and coming with me?!?!
