Teased by the promise of more solar radiation than a dodgy Liverpool Sun bed parlour The Kwan, Felicia the Cat (non-member) and yours truly set off in convoy for a quick blast down to Anglesey. The Kwan’s early look of triumph at scaling a wall with minimum assistance soon evaporated when we noticed a jogger and dog walker who had just entered through the open gate we’d missed a few yards down the road.
Headed off past some Sleepy Hollowesque trees, including one that looked like the Ent ‘Fangorn’ in Lord of the Rings.
The only minor obstacle was a posse of young bulls who looked a tad annoyed at our intrusion as they grazed amongst the ruins!
Spent most of the day exploring (well at least until we'd eaten all Felicia's sweets and stuff)
Overall a great explore of a once grand property. Easy to imagine old Sir Richard quaffing his malt before bagging the odd peasant who strayed onto his land.
The Kwan has since established the site is earmarked for luxury development so hope more of you get to see it before it disappears.

As there are already so many fab pics of the exterior focussed here mainly upon a few details.

The Kwan stands on a ledge that we then realised was actually moving!

Felicia and The Kwan consider the wisdom of walking up a dodgy plank when the stairs ran out!

Thanks for Looking.

the plans for conversion have been around for a while - I don't see much happening anytime soon.

I enjoyed this place loads.

Cheers, amazing the way nature takes over. It will defo be a massive job to convert and with the property markets not being great hopefully you're right!

Cheers King E. Those pillars are a great feature. Behind it's possible to climb up out the other side. You come onto some grand steps that take you onto a foot path that leads to the actual house.

Thanks Nicola. Hey Judderman62 great to see those pics of how it used to look. What's cool is you can still make out many of the features. Also came across this one:

Bloody hell that really was a grand old house - utterly saddened to see it as it is now....
