In the ROC journal dated January 1988 and August 1986 Knockholt post was featured as the cover image, from what I can imagine it was likely Knockholt was the 'show post' for kent group, so all visiting government officials and high ranking ROC officials would be shown this post, it would also have been used on ROC open days for recruitment etc.
Today the post is meant to be restored and occasionally open to some selected groups as subbrit details...

And the internal picture from the August 1986 edition.

Nice one BK!

it gives us a really good idea of what restored posts should look like!

Not too cluttered.

I also notice they have a Carter Nelson Siren instead of the usual Secomak Siren. I didnt really think they used Carter Nelson although i had seen it in the manuals the operation instructions for the siren variations.

I think im gonna have to get some of my Journals out and read them in bed tonight!

Flashbang white doesn't look like the original colour on the front of the magazine. Still a nice example and a more famous one in the ROC circles!

Cool suff, I have wondered before about some of the posts featured on the covers.

They were certainly issued, I know of a few posts around here that had them. Not really sure why certain posts had them though, maybe they were issued to the earlier built ones.

Somewhere I have a b+w shot of a post when it was operational with the carter siren, will have a look and see if I can find it! :thumb
