After the St Thomas' fiasco that morning with Silverstealth and Nicola, we moved on to the third explore of the day - Bailey Mill in Oldham. We thought it might be a nice easy one to do to get me "back on the horse" after the drama earlier in the day.

As Bailey Mill has been done a fair bit already, I'll spare the history repeat.

The lower floor is pitch black because of the boarded up windows, which was a shame because there are loads of fantastic machines still there. We didn't have much in the way of lighting, but managed to get some ok shots.

The higher floors are pretty empty in comparison to earlier reports I've seen on the place. I seem to just miss all the good parts by a month or two.

No fences, no security, no problems.

(Again, pictures are before I discovered RAW or photoshop)

Looking back at these pictures makes me realise how I should have been using a tripod more to get better shots. I suppose these things get better the more you do though.

By basement, do you mean the ground floor with the boarded up windows? Or a floor below that one that I've missed?

I think all the machines on the ground floor are gone now or most of it. An enginneer was sent to strip it all to sell off.
