im sure someone else has done this site, (king elvis i believe...?)
the photos are old and i took them when i was still getting into using the manual mode on my camera, and i kept forgetting to change the settings quite often, hence the under exposure and dull colours :thumbup they have been lying around doing nothing on my flickr for yonks now, i forgot to create a post when i put them up, no point in wasting precious space on my free flickr account :lol:
anyway, on with the post!
a bit of history:
monaghan mushrooms bought out middlebrook mushrooms in 1994 and so middlebrook turned into monaghan mushrooms, in 2005, monaghan also bought out carbury mushrooms, so it became all three. it didnt just grow the mushrooms, it made some of the compost, packaged the mushrooms and distributed them... to take over teh wurld! ahem... sorry... lolcats reference breakout :panic
as i am aware of, the farm stopped growing mushrooms in 2004-2005 but continued to package the ones from other farms (whitley and brayton (non existent anymore))
the mushroom farm is a huge site and if you have enough time without been chased... (long story :p) you can spend a good 3-4 hours maybe even more here!because this site has no security whatsoever, anyone can go and it is a target for the local pikeys. most of the damage caused to the site is from metal thiefs or arsonists setting the old offices on fire. some of the offices were left with everything in its place but now, they look like they have pretty much been upside down and back!
found loads of ways onto the roofs so i shall be taking loads of 'birds-eye' view photos of the place later on this month :) easter hol's at the latest.

if you haven't allready noticed , the weather was crap but it sort of helped with abit of lighting issues ... :)

the last person to visit here... (not pikeys or chavs...) had a picture of a chair stuck in the roof... it wasnt there sadly when i went :(
