The Convent has been visited so many times and unfortunately a lot of the visitors have been vandals and cable stripping monkeys but still it is fascinating and parts of it are so impressive, espescially the chapel, I visited with Sepiroth who unlike me is not so new to urbexing.

The convent care home was established in 1890 in Rock Ferry merseyside so without further ado here are some pictures, all taken with a nikon D300 and a sigma 10-20 wide angled lens, some are taken with flash because it was 4.30pm when we arrived and the light was fading fast.

outside of the building you can see the glass cross and the newer wing of the building on the left of the picture

behind the glass cross inside of the building still complete with flowers in the alcoves.

a bathroom and disability seat, almost every bit of porcelain in the building has been smashed although this bath remained in tact.

a leaflet for instructions about bathing the residents to prevent scalding.

a piano still stands in one of the morning rooms although it is a little worse for wear but it still plays or at least some of the keys do.

Sepiroth being a knob end but a 100w knob end at that(more like a flower pot man).

Looking through a smashed fire door with polished georgian glass, it looked to be a morning room but to good to be abandoned.

down one of the corridors on the second floor, this floor seemed to be more about admin and storage for day to day running.

a few of the kitchen, some of the appliances look like they could be fired into life and dinner could be cooked on them.

possibly a ward with the pull across partitions, notice that the cable stripping monkeys have been busy.

A door that was open and situated just before the stairs down to the basement washroom and maintenance room, it opened out into an overgrown courtyard.
