This was a solo visit as this is on my route home from work! site is quite interesting even though i couldnt get into the main workshop or office areas due to being locked down or blocked doorways. but even though the farm buildings are only accesable i still quite enjoyed my visit.
HISTORY
Ellel Farm Supplies is located immediately west of Bay Horse Road, in the Ellel area of Lancaster. The proposed main access into the site is to the north, directly off Bay Horse Road, with two further access points to the south of this entrance.
The site is currently vacant and houses a former warehouse to the roadside with a row of piggeries on a perpendicular axis to the road at the rear of the site. The warehouse building is of a large steel and brick construction with a basement and an asbestos roof covering. It was previously used as a farm and machinery repair shop.
The piggeries to the rear of the site are single storey and constructed in red brick with natural slate roofs.
There are a further two outbuildings along the north boundary, one of which is a tall timber clad barn and the other a small red brick barn with a slate roof.

This is the proposal for the site and its future
The Proposal it is our clients intention to redevelop the site to house three detached properties with gardens,in order to achieve this the following work will take place:
- The warehouse building will be converted into a single dwelling with an attached garage, set in its own gardens with a stone wall marking the boundary to the roadside and the neighbouring house
