The mills lie imposing on a fity nine acre site, in the east end of London.
Destined to be turned into 400 loft style flats during the redevelopment of the area, consisting of 5000 new waterfront homes, a watersports centre and an aquarium.

Spillers is mostly associated with dog food, such as 'bonio' and 'shapes' dog biscuits. Millennium Mills was named after their millennium flour of the time.
Unfortunatly much of it was demolished shortly after closure, along with the CWS mill and Rank Hovis empire mill. All that remains on site today is the granary of Spillers mill and the catergorie 2 listed 'D' silo.

Access doesn't really live up to expectations, the so called 'leap of faith' was more of a step down.. Never the less, it's a great explore and an amazing building. I've been a few times now and hasn't yet failed to impress.

Aye that's the one, but there's a dark cloud over the term "leap of faith"!

Yes, it's not so much of a leap.. Although it is quite high once you're up there..
