While at the gun battery with DJ OSKA and shadow ops, we crossed over to the Chain Radar station. It was the first radar site in Norfolk, using Low Radar, operational on christmas day 1939. During 1942 the 184 feet tower was constructed with the ops block and generator shed. Happsiburgh also became a Ground Control Interception base. DJ OSKA is making a documentary on the site, so I will leave the details to him. :thumb

We do indeed, King Elvis.
Plenty of stuff been rediscovered out this way recently...
Chalk mines, underground gun battery tunnels, a gloomy workhouse chapel, last weekend was quite an explore-fest...
