In a little forgotten town called long Eaton in the south of Derbyshire was a little forgotten block of flats called romorantin place. In 1962 Long Eaton was twinned with the town of Romorantin in France. Then in 1965 the formal introduction of the Romorantin Place development was started to mark the twining of the two places. today one block is closed and shut and the other is still in use it looks as though they may be thinking of knocking these down as they are currently building new smaller blocks of flats behind them,.
this was one of our most nervous explores to date we started in day light and it took us till dark to get in because of the some approximately 40 odd flats directly opposite the shut building and houses surrounding the rest once in the nerves were still playing on us right up to the point where we saw a man in his front room across the road look up at the building we think he must of seen the flash of the cameras or torches so we decided it would be time to leave at least we had got some photos of this historic place before it has gone, any on with the photos, sorry for the dark photos it was very dark !
