The drain tunnel starts at the site of the, now demolished, South Front Barracks, at
Dover's Western Heights. It travels for over 1000 yards in an almost straight line under
the Citadel, which is now Dover's Immigration Removal Centre.
I lost all my old photos from my last visit a couple of years back, so we decided to do it again. It's bereft of features so there not too many pics anyway.
Inside the caponier.

The tunnel. Each one of those pipe sections is about three feet long.

Pipe junction. That's my mate's torch-light in the distance.

It's bricked-up at the end, I didn't get a pic, well not one I can put up here! There
were three of us all crammed at the end. The tunnel is about 5ft high at the most, in some places four and very narrow.
