Popped up to Derbyshire recently for a couple of explores with Kirkbride.
First stop was Aston Hall Mental Hospital…it closed six years ago but with poor security and nearby housing estates it has not fared well since then.
It appears to have come under sustained attack by chavs armed with sledgehammers and rocket-propelled grenades.
What's left is a collection of sad building husks filled with jagged chunks of porcelain, shattered glass and soggy piles of insulation.

This hydrotherapy pool only saw 10 years of use before closure, having been built as part of a £4m revamp

Going from one extreme to another, we left the mess that is Aston Hall we went on to Kinsgway Psychiatric Hospital which only closed last year.
The only fail of the day was that we’d spent too long at Aston Hall and it got dark quite quickly once we’d got inside.
Security were sniffing round the windows so torches to navigate or help focus the camera were out of the question. Hence, only a couple of hastily taken pictures from here.
