Afternoon to waste in Epsom on tuesday, it was a no brainer really. Lets head to the park.

I've been to West Park about 10 times I reckon, I've lost count. Who cares, it's one of those sites that you can always find something new to photograph, something new to look at. Sadly the deterioration of the site continues, to be honest it's not the same site it was 3 years or so ago when I first visited. Back then you barely saw a broken pain of glass in the corridors, graffiti was limited to the asbestos markings and there was so many things left in situ. These days you can't find a window that isn't smashed and access is always a bit interesting. All the interesting stuff has gone these days, the padded cell is door less and covered in graff. Someone has even taken a chunk out of one panel. The brain scans, patient records, the map room.. it's all gone.

The real bad news is the diggers are moving in now too. Remedial work has begun, the fat lady is clearing her throat. West Park is getting ready to join Cane Hill as one of those iconic sites that is no more.
I finally managed to do the crèche.

And finally a wonder over to see that piano, the one that was probably worth over £35'000 till it got tipped upside down and had paint poured on it. John Broadwood would not be impressed.
